I love people who strive to make a difference and who are determined to change the world.
A few years ago we went to the March on Washington for gay rights. It was really nice to be part of the march and come together with thousands of other gay people who want equal rights.
While we were there we saw the AIDS quilt. It was really breathtaking to see all of the different squares. All of them were in rememberance of people that died from AIDS. Each one told a story and really opened my eyes to the tragic deaths and the people that love them.
Now there's a new collection - Patch of the World. The main mission is to collect as many patches as they can and educate readers to the mission or idea behind the patch.
I really like how the website is designed and it seems like an awesome idea! Many of the patches they have are from military groups and other groups too. I like that they give a brief history and also a little commentary too.
It's ideas like this that help us realize that we're all different and all involved in different things.
Even if you do like or support the Boston Red Sox!
