Oysters!

bMargot absolutely loves oysters. We used to go to the local seafood restaurant and she'd get a dozen Gulf oysters and go to town!

Of course, I'm not too much into the slimy critters. I can't say I've ever tried them but I remember my parents going to an all you can eat seafood restaurant when I was a kid and watching my mom pack them in by the dozen. The whole thought of something slimy going down your throat without chewing...just doesn't do it for me.

One joke I heard recently was:

Two oysters slide into a bar - the look at each other and all of a sudden hear "Yummy" and then are seperated by a shiny, dark pink, abyss and shiny white teeth.

They scream out to each other "until we meet again."

Of course, they never meet again and their family reports them as missing oysters to the authorities.

A website that has great oyster information is beoysteraware.com. It's humorous and quite the website for the oyster enthusiast!

97 days left!

And that's til 40 weeks! I'd like to go a little bit early but not too early. I think I'd be happy with a good 38 weeks or so!

Of course, Margot's stuck on me going three days past my due date and delivering on 06/07/08. That is pretty cool...but not sure it's going to be worth my bitching towards the end!

I'm already having a hell of a time sleeping and can't manage to get comfortable through the night because my hips are killing me. The chiro has no new suggestions that I haven't been doing.

I think tonight I might try to sleep with my pregnancy belt on. I figure any last ditch efforts might be able to buy me a few more minutes of sleep?

The kid would love.

The other night J came over and played with Graem. They had a great time and it was a perfect time for the parents to sit back and watch a little recorded television!

At one point both kids were wearing party dresses and Graem had brought out her party jewelry! They enjoyed it so much and even had a little bickering moment fighting over the blue necklace.

At some point we should look at purchasing wholesale fashion jewelry so that there's enough to go around and we don't have to break up fights!

Coin collector?

I have never really been into coin collecting. We tried to collect all 50 states and decided they were putting them out too slow and gave up on that whole idea.

Heck, I even purchased the quarter holder for the coins and I'm sure it's in the basement somewhere with $1.50 worth of quarters collecting dust.

I wouldn't know a rare coin if it were to hit me in the head!

However, I think it would be really special if we were to find Graem and Emerson's birth year and purchase rare coins in their honor. When I was a baby my grandparents were able to find the coins for my birth year and had them mounted. It was always really special to me.

ZoomCoin.com offers a great website for people like me who are newbies to collecting coins and need a little extra help along the way!

Crazy.

This past week has been so damn crazy we can all barely think straight. Margot's been getting knocked on her ass by tons of work deadlines and just trying to keep her head above water. Which under normal circumstances would be a good thing...

but her father is in poor health and that's been adding more stress to her already stressful life.

Again last night he had a horrible bleeding episode and thank God her brother was there to be with him and sit by his side. Her dad ended up going in this afternoon for a much needed blood transfusion of two pints.

Hopefully, he'll feel better over the weekend and live comfortably til his surgery scheduled March 6th.

Stay connected.

Right now we're thinking that we might need to invest in a new computer. Ours is on the fritz and who could blame it -- it's used and abused daily.

Of course, we'd be a two computer household and that can be scary when it comes to networking the computers.

We might have to look into a KVM that would allow us to hook up multiple computers.

25 week belly shots!

Holy shit I'm getting huge. I can't believe the belly just keeps getting bigger.

When will it stop?

Danger: I have a pacemaker.

If you didn't know me you would never know that I have a pacemaker and certain precautions should be taken if I am ever to be recessitated.

I think at some point I should probably invest in medical jewelry that would identify my "need" so that medical professionals are able to render the proper treatment.

Keep it locked.

When we moved into our house one of the first things that we did was purchase new Schlage door locks. We wanted the best and also something that was stylish and would go with the overall design of our house.

I like the handle door on the outside of the house and then the lever on the inside. We were able to go through the local hardware store, however, they had to special order all of the hardware.

Oh BALLS!

This summer I have an idea that I'm not going to be getting out on the golf course much. Last year I went out with my friend, Jill, and we shot a few balls and did nine holes.

I was shocked that I didn't loose too many golf balls! When you end up paying so much to golf after the green fees and the golf cart it becomes a real expensive game when you have to buy a case of balls each time!

The big bucks.

Over the next few days we're going to be getting back our big tax refund and we know we want to pay off some bills but other than that we're thinking about investing a little bit of money in the very low stock market!

Of course, we've thought about checking out the local commodity brokers but I think I'd rather go with someone who is a little bit more versed in all of the different commodities out there.

Then again, maybe it's all too risky and we'll just sew the money into our mattress.

Baby down!

Lately, I've been having such a great time with Graem. She's really a fun kid and she makes me laugh constantly.

Today when I was putting her down for a nap she patted my face and said in the cutest voice "I love you so much, Mama."

Of course, that erases the two times that she's been in time out today!

She's getting so big and the things that she says are forever amazing me.

Here we go again...

Well, it looks like we're going to have some nice money coming in from taxes and we're going to be able to pay off all of our debt and actually put some money in the kid's college funds.

I know we should probably start examining Car Prices too because it's just a matter of time before my eight year old Honda dies!

I would love to get a mini-van but I'm not sure that's in our future because they are so expensive.

23 weeks!

Damn, it's hard to believe that I'm one week from viability. I know that sounds hopeless but throughout this pregnancy I've been scared shitless that something really bad is going to happen.

So, for me to finally get to the point where I can rest a little bit and know that by next week our baby has an 85% chance of survival outside of the womb...is amazing.

Little girl has been kicking the living daylights out of me and lately she seems to be kicking right at my belly button and on my left side.

In fact, I don't think I've ever felt her on the right side.

I'm pretty excited because this weekend when we got to NYC we're going to one of the places that offers 3D-4D ultrasound and we'll be able to see awesome pictures of her face!

I've got to get with it.

Today I had something that required me to know our finances and I must admit that I was completely lost! Aside from me knowing that we have two seperate checking accounts and one always staying completely cashless and empty ... I don't know anything else.

I tried getting onto quickbooks but I had no idea how to print out the reports.

I think this weekend I might have Margot sit down with me and teach me how to use this stuff.
