When I was in high school I really didn't have any idea what college I would go to. I knew of all of the schools in Texas but hadn't heard of any of the ones outside of my area.
I remember my friend Shannon went with her parents cross country and they visited all of the great schools. Of course, she picked up shirts from each. I had never heard of Cornell, Bryn Mawr, or Wellsley!
I think most kids probably learn about these schools from their guidance counselors or perhaps their parents or friends were alumnis.
One thing that would have helped me to see what was out there would have been to go with other people and made a trip to the different colleges. It would have been nice to go on a tour of the schools and really get a feel for the spirit of the university or college.
The reality is that the first time I went to my college was during orientation and I had no idea what it would be like because I don't even remember visiting before enrolling! Now, that's pretty sad.
CE Tours offers a great service to students and parents. They specialize in making sure that kids know their college and university options. They offer tours of universities and colleges and really make sure that you get a first rate experience while checking different places out.
Had I known about CE Tours I would have probably been one of the first people to enroll! God knows that my parents were always too busy to take me to different colleges. Plus, I'm not sure that they knew of the many different options that might have been a better fit for me.
